  • Life Without the Internet

I picked the worst neighborhood to move to. It seemed like a nice quiet place surrounded by good people. But those good people had a secret...

Every single one of them has their wireless network security protected. Darn.

I decided I'm not in the position to pay for this much loved service, so I've been learning to live without the internet. I tried to look at this as a good thing. Without the internet, I could read more books, maybe spend more time outside, and probably get into some other shenanigans as well.

    But...

    no.

I've had a revelation. Even without the internet I still manage to do very close to absolutely nothing productive. Who would have thought? I do miss xanga though. Somehow my unproductivity seemed much more statisfying when I was blogging. Alas...

I miss you. Are you enjoying your summer?

  • Randomness

There's always something thrilling about doing something completely spontaneous and in some cases plain stupid. Tonight my roommate and some of the other girls in my apartment complex went and got in a pool, slightly illegally. It was absolutely freezing which is understandable since it was close to midnight. But it was insane and insanely fun. And then there was the time a few months ago when another group of friends and I decided to get in as many fountains as we could in our area. I think we managed to get in seven, including one at the outdoor mall and never had a run in with security. It was a spur of the moment decision, but it's something I will never forget. Also, neither of these were done under the influence of any substance, we're just crazy random like that.

Have you ever done anything fun and crazy?

  • In the spirits of not being under the l.t.c.

I go to a private christian university. Upon admission you have to sign an agreement saying that you are going to hold to a certain moral code. One of the things people "agree" to on admission is that they will not drink during times when they are on campus. This doesn't just mean no drinking in the residence halls, it means you aren't supposed to drink except in the presence of your parents or on breaks where the residence halls are closed. So in the spirit, yes pun is completely intended, of not being under the rule anymore. I am going to blog about some of my favorite alcohols.

    Mixed drinks-
Vanilla vodka & Orange soda- This captures the yumminess of those popsicles with the cream in the center, but in an alcoholic beverage
X-rated & Sprite- It tastes very grapefruity. Love it.
Red bull, sprite, & vodka- I don't really like any of these by themselves but together they equal pure deliciousness.

    Beer!-
Now I love my girly drinks but sometimes a beer is just the thing. When this is the case here are my top choices.
Newcastle- My number one by far. Most people are surprised when I go from ordering a girly drink to a newcastle. It seems like a contradiction to them. And maybe I am one. But I love dark beer.
    Rolling Rock- smooth deliciousness
Blue moon- The hint of orange makes my tongue happy.

    Wine-
No, the list continues. A lot of the people I know, haven't really developed a taste for wine. I'm not one of those people. Although I have yet to find a red bear that I enjoy.
Pinot Grigio- This was the first wine that I discovered. It will always be my first love when it comes to wine.
Moscato- This is the wine that made Pinot Grigio nothing more than a summer romance. This is so far my favorite wine out of all I have tried.

    Shots-
You thought I was done. You were wrong. Now there is debate as to whether you can actually enjoy a shot or not. But when I'm shooting up, these are my shots of choice.
Purple hooter- not really sure what's in it but it's pretty much a girly drink in shot form. I'm a big fan.
X-rated- very girly shot, but yummy nonetheless
Buttery nipple- Also yummy. I heart butterscotch

In a nut shell, those are some of my favorites. What do you like to drink?

    Tattoo

I got my first tattoo today.
The words are lyrics from the jimmy eat world song 23 followed by the eternity/infinity symbol. It's just a reminder to myself to remember my dreams. To keep pursuing things because there is so much more to this life than just right now. The infinity/eternity symbol is there to remind me that there are so many different possibilities and that everything is adding up to a greater purpose.

Do you have any tattoo's? What is their significance to you?
